Summary
Only 25 percent of school-age children in the United States take part in summer learning programs – a fraction of the demand. That’s according to this Wallace-supported analysis of a 2009 survey of 30,000 U.S. households. The report also finds that 82 percent of American parents support public funding of summer learning programs for disadvantaged children.
