Researchers surveyed over 30,000 parents and legal guardians with at least one school-aged child in their home and completed at least 200 interviews in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The survey was conducted using a mixed-mode methodology to reach as many households as possible. Data was collected between January 31 and April 21, 2025. Final data were weighted to be representative of parents or guardians of children in kindergarten through 12th grade at the state and national levels by family income and race/ethnicity.
