Sophia Tsai

Sophia Tsai joined Wallace in March 2026 as the foundation’s chief investment officer, overseeing the management of its endowment. With more than 30 years of investment experience, she has managed institutional portfolios for endowments, foundations, and pension funds. Prior to joining Wallace, she served as Managing Director of Investments at Trinity Church NYC.

Earlier in her career, Tsai held senior investment roles at GE Asset Management, GE Capital, and State Street Global Advisors, where she led private equity, hedge fund, and direct investments globally.

Tsai chairs the Investment Committee of the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and the University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong, and a BBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Tsai enjoys traveling with her family and friends and discovering great local foods.
