Kristin Verbanic

Grants Manager

Kristin Verbanic joined The Wallace Foundation in 2025 as a Grants Manager. In this role, she manages the full life cycle of grants and contracts, working with internal teams and external partners to help ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the foundation’s grantmaking operations.

Verbanic brings more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, with roles at organizations focused on health care, education, and community well-being. Most recently, she spent five years at the Greater Rochester Health Foundation, where she helped institute equity-focused grantmaking policies and formalize grants management and grantmaking operational practices. She also assisted in redesigning the organization’s grants-management platform to improve data quality and reporting.

Verbanic has served on the planning committee of the New York Funders Alliance Grants Management and Program Officer Learning Group for four years, and she is part of the inaugural committee of PEAK Grantmaking’s Mentoring Program. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Elmira College. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside with her dog, tackling logic puzzles, and exploring communities through local business.
