New York, New York, July 16, 2024 – Ingrid Rasmussen will become The Wallace Foundation’s chief financial officer, effective September 3, 2024, the foundation announced today. Currently the chief financial officer at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Rasmussen brings over 15 years of experience in nonprofit and private foundation finance and operations leadership.

“We are delighted to welcome Ingrid Rasmussen to the Wallace team,” said Will Miller, president of the foundation. "Ingrid brings years of experience in developing financial strategy, managing efficient operations, and leading successful teams. We look forward to her valuable contributions to The Wallace Foundation as we work to advance our mission and purpose."

As chief financial officer Rasmussen will be a strategic partner to the president and senior management team and a steward of the fiscal and operational health of the foundation. She will lead all aspects of financial management, grants administration, and operations. As a member of the senior management team, she will also contribute to the development and implementation of the foundation’s strategic approach to grantmaking, program selection, and overall operations.

“I am thrilled to join The Wallace Foundation and contribute to its mission of fostering advances in the arts, education leadership, and youth development. I am particularly excited to support the foundation’s innovative approach to grantmaking and its unique commitment to sharing its insights and learnings with others across the sector,” said Rasmussen.

In her role current role at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), Rasmussen leads a team of 35 finance and grants management staff to provide support and guidance to both internal staff and program clients. RPA is a fiscal sponsor and philanthropic advisor, supporting over 100 projects and programs worldwide by providing finance, governance, and human resources infrastructure and support. RPA’s annual grantmaking of approximately $350 million supports programs on various issues, including climate, education, and human rights.

In prior roles, Rasmussen was the chief operating officer at Unbound Philanthropy, a private foundation supporting immigration and migrant rights, and was responsible for oversight of finance, grants management, IT, operations, and human resources. She was previously the vice president of finance and operations at the Heron Foundation, director of finance planning and analysis at Helmsley Charitable Trust, and the vice president of finance/controller at the Nonprofit Finance Fund.

Rasmussen holds a M.A. in International Development/Development Economics from American University and a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University.

Rasmussen succeeds Stacy Martin, who will leave at the end of August after nearly 10 years at Wallace.
