Cooperative School, and the City and Country School in New York City.
Diekmann received his bachelor’s degree in geology from New Jersey City University, where he was an F. Steele Hunt Scholarship and Presidential Scholarship recipient and graduated summa cum laude. He minored in elementary school education while earning provisional teaching certifications for the State of New Jersey as both an elementary school and earth science teacher.
Before returning to college and completing teacher training, Diekmann worked for almost 15 years at Cahners Publishing Company (now Reed Business Information), rising from a part-time, temporary employee to senior financial analyst. He holds a certificate in acting from Circle-in-the-Square’s Professional Workshop program.
