Kim Nowacki
Kim Nowacki joined The Wallace Foundation in 2025 in the newly created role of multimedia content producer.
She joins Wallace with more than 15 years of experience as a print, video, and digital journalist, which began with her reporting on education and the arts. She developed her passion for digital journalism during her early years as a print reporter at The Yakima Herald-Republic. There, she was a vocal proponent of a stronger online presence and spearheaded the use of video and social media in the newsroom.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Nowacki quickly took to the East Coast when a summer internship at The New York Times brought her to New York City. She has since spent more than 13 years at New York Public Radio, home to WNYC and WQXR. She started as a content creator for both stations and grew to lead their digital distribution strategies.
Nowacki has a master’s degree in digital journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Central Washington University.
She lives in Jersey City with her husband. She loves live music and going to concerts, is a passionate home cook and a dedicated plant mom.
