Julie Danni

Communications Officer

Julie Danni joined The Wallace Foundation in 2024 as a communications officer focusing on initiatives in the arts. She is responsible for strategic communications planning to further Wallace’s dual goals of strengthening the capacity of our grantees while capturing and sharing knowledge throughout the broader arts sector.

Danni comes to Wallace with more than 15 years of experience working to uplift arts and culture organizations through strategic communications both in-house and in an agency setting. Most recently, she served as director of communications for The Public Theater, where she focused on amplifying the nonprofit theater’s mission to ensure that art and culture belong to everyone. Managing the theater’s communications and social media teams, she worked to increase institutional awareness across the country and oversaw communications campaigns supporting new musicals, plays, and an array of programs, including Free Shakespeare in the Park. Prior to the Public, Danni worked with Resnicow and Associates, a communications agency, where she focused on executing strategic campaigns as well as managing media on a local, national, and international level for an array of arts, culture, and nonprofit organizations and foundations, including Wallace.

Danni earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and theater from Pennsylvania State University. She is an avid theatergoer and enjoys exploring Brooklyn, where she has resided for over a decade.
