Jennifer Jaramillo

Jennifer Jaramillo joined Wallace in 2022 as the foundation’s accountant. Her responsibilities cover a range of accounting tasks, including managing payroll and benefits administration, overseeing accounts payable, and ensuring accurate financial records through the foundation’s monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting-close processes.

​​​​​​​​​Before coming to Wallace, Jaramillo worked in the hospitality industry for six years as a bookkeeper and human resources manager for two restaurants—where she also helped run the front of the house. In addition, she worked for more than 10 years in the healthcare sector in roles including billing and claims adjuster and provider-reimbursement specialist.

​​​​​​​​​Jaramillo has a bachelor's degree in technical management in accounting from DeVry University and is pursuing a master's degree in accounting as well. She has a passion for continuous learning and professional development, as well as unexpected work opportunities when they arise. Case in point: Serving as the “hand model” for photographic close-ups of diners wielding cutlery or clinking glasses in a Long Island City brasserie.
