A Place to Grow and Learn: A Citywide Approach to Building and Sustaining Out-of-School Time Learning Opportunities

This Wallace-written report describes a novel, coordinated approach to expanding and improving after-school programs citywide. Based on the experiences of Wallace-supported efforts in five cities, the report discusses a number of elements key to this work, including careful planning, firm mayoral backing and computer systems that regularly collect reliable data about participation in programs.
