Francisco Matos joined Wallace as a senior accountant in 2011. He prepares all the accounting work for Wallace's investment portfolio; oversees grants management analysis; and plays a lead role in the preparation of audited financial statements, tax returns and investment and grant-related reports and schedules to support financial reports to the board.
When he became a member of the Wallace staff, Matos brought 11 years of experience in the field, including seven spent as a public accountant, with responsibilities spanning audit, tax, financial reporting and business management. He served for three years as a fund controller for BNY Mellon, where he prepared the monthly closing and various reports for a portfolio of offshore entities with assets of more than $2.5 billion; determined fair market value measurements for the funds and conducted various analyses to ensure the portfolio was in compliance with regulations; and prepared quarterly and annual financial statements.
Matos is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Long Island University, C.W. Post.
